App “Diet with Flashcards” · version of 1 October 2026
In short: the app gives general meal ideas. It is not
medical or dietary advice, it does not know your health, and the nutrition
figures are estimates. The filters are a convenience, not a safety device —
if you have a food allergy or an illness, check the ingredients yourself.
The “Plus” subscription is bought from Apple or Google, not from us, and it
renews until you cancel it.
1. What this app is
Diet with Flashcards suggests meals, one card at a time, for a time of day
and optionally a cuisine you choose, filtered by the profile you set. The
meals, their ingredients, their steps and their nutrition figures were
written for this app. It is offered free with advertising; an optional
subscription (“Plus”) removes the advertising, lifts the limits on saving,
plans seven days in one press and produces a shopping list for that week.
2. What it is not
Not medical or dietary advice. The meals and the
filters are general information. They do not take account of your
diagnosis, your medication, your blood results, pregnancy, your kidney
function or anything else individual to you. Always follow the advice of
your doctor or dietitian over anything in this app.
Not an allergy tool. The allergy filters work from the
ingredient lists as written. They cannot know what is in the products you
buy, what your kitchen contains, how a food is processed, or whether it was
made alongside an allergen. If you have a food allergy, you must
check every ingredient yourself and follow your doctor's plan.
Not a clinical diet. The condition filters remove
meals that are commonly unsuitable — for example meals high in
sodium when you tick high blood pressure. They are built from thresholds
applied to estimated nutrition figures, not from a diet prescribed for you.
For kidney disease and diabetes in particular, a diet agreed with your
clinician replaces anything here.
Not a religious certification. The halal, kosher,
Hindu, Buddhist and Jain filters exclude meals by their listed ingredients.
The app cannot certify any food, ingredient or preparation method as
compliant with a religious rule; that judgement is yours.
Not a calorie prescription. The optional daily target
is calculated with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation from what you enter. It is
an estimate for healthy adults, it is never set below 1,200 kcal (women) or
1,500 kcal (men), and it is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant,
breastfeeding, under 18, or being treated for an eating disorder.
Not official. The app is not published, endorsed or
reviewed by any health authority, medical association or other body.
3. Nutrition figures
Calories, protein, carbohydrate, fat, saturated fat, fibre, sugar and
sodium are estimates per serving, worked out from standard
portion sizes for the ingredients listed. Real figures vary with the brand,
the cut, the size of your pan and what you actually put in. Do not use them
where an exact figure matters — for example to calculate an insulin dose.
4. The “Plus” subscription
Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly
and yearly. The price for your country is shown in the app before you
confirm, and is charged to your Apple or Google account.
It renews automatically at the end of each period
unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that period ends. Your account
is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current
period.
You can cancel at any time: on iPhone or iPad in
Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android in Google Play → your
profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops
the next renewal; the subscription runs to the end of the period you have
paid for.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own
terms, not by us. We cannot refund a payment we never received.
If the subscription lapses, the app keeps working: every meal and every
filter stays available, the advertising comes back, and the free limits on
saving apply again. Nothing you have saved is deleted.
The meals were written with care and checked by a build step that rejects
one without ingredients, steps or nutrition. They have not been reviewed by a
dietitian. If you find a mistake, please write to us and we will correct
it.
6. Your use of the app
You may use the app for your own personal cooking and planning. Please do
not copy the meal texts out of the app to republish them, sell them or build
another product from them.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for injury to life, body or health, for
intent and gross negligence, and under the German Product Liability Act. For
slight negligence we are liable only where an obligation essential to the
contract is breached, and then only for damage that is foreseeable and
typical. Otherwise liability is excluded. Nothing here limits any right you
have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.
8. Changes
These terms may change when the app changes. The version that applied when
you installed or last updated the app is the one that governs your use; the
current version is always on this page, with its date.
9. Law
German law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection
rules of the country you are habitually resident in.
